Mobile Health Clinic

Mimecast South Africa recently partnered with Human Doings to send a Mobile Health Clinic to Emfundisweni Primary School in Alexandra. Poor performance at school is often attributed to health issues such as poor hearing or eye sight. But this can be easily identified and rectified through primary health care. Because of this we decided to send a 12 metre bus with healthcare practitioners to assist 216 grade 2 and grade 6 learners.
The bus housed three examination rooms, with a fully qualified nurse, an optometrist and an oral hygienist. The purpose of the Mobile Clinic was to deliver preventative healthcare services to the children and provide on-site medical assistance and referrals for more serious issues.
